Tomasz Waligórski, current Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Carrefour Polska, has been appointed to the position of the company's General Director from November 1, 2024. He replaces Tarck Ouaibi in this position. Tomasz Waligórski is the first Pole in this position in the country.
Carrefour Group is accelerating its global food transition and launches the second edition of the “Act For Food”. As part of the program, Carrefour Polska has just announced its 5 local commercial commitments to increase the availability of healthy products for customers. The goal of the strategy is to permanently change the way Poles eat.
Carrefour Polska was honored with the "Franczyzowe retaiLOVE" award. This award is granted to franchise chains, partner networks and purchasing groups by the Handel magazine for their unconventional activities addressed to franchisees in the past year.
The agreement covers the launch of 170 charging points at over 70 commercial facilities owned by Carrefour, located in 65 Polish cities. This partnership aims to facilitate Poles' access to the network of electric vehicle charging stations, as well as to promote ecological methods of transport. The project will also contribute to accelerating the achievement of greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets in line with the 1.5°C trajectory set by the Carrefour Group global sustainability strategy.
Customers of Carrefour hyper- and supermarkets and the online store carrefour.pl can now benefit from the benefits of the PAYBACK loyalty program. From May 27 this year for purchases made in our network, customers will receive PAYBACK points, thanks to which they will be able to buy cheaper, lowering the value of their receipts. Additionally, program participants will be able to take advantage of Carrefour's dedicated great promotional and points offers prepared exclusively for them.
Carrefour Poland is an omnichannel retail chain with nearly 850 stores in 6 formats hypermarkets, supermarkets, wholesale and discount shops, convenience and specialized stores as well as an eshop currently operate under its name.
