Philippe Chauvel, Commercial Director at Carrefour Poland, presented during a meeting organized at the store Carrefour Promenada, the principles and realizations of the chain in the field of food transition. He also participated, together with Anna Kurnatowska, in the signature of the specification documents between Carrefour and its new partners. The conference was accompanied by a degustation of meals prepared with products from the assortment “Jakość z Natury Carrefour”. The meeting gathered journalists, representatives of public institutions, and members of the scientific community.
The four new products of the assortment “Jakość z Natury Carrefour” are: cherry and raspberries tomatoes, cucumbers, beetroot, and blue cheese. They will be provided to the stores by Polish producers, who have been selected with care by Carrefour. These new products distinguish themselves by: their method of production- without the utilization of harmful resources for health, their origin- from clean fields, their variety, and the ingredients selected with care for their production. The greatest care put into every production stage is a guarantee of a stable and unchanging quality as well as of a perfect taste for Carrefour clients.
The signature of contracts with suppliers is another step forward in the realization of the food transition strategy. At the end of April, Carrefour signed its first agreements of contract farming with seven fruits and vegetables suppliers. Carrefour thus can ensure regular product supplies from verified suppliers, suppliers can sell their stocks, and clients have a stable access to a wide range of top quality products. Carrefour Poland’s ambition is also to offer a larger access to Bio products. As a result, and since the beginning of June, 30 new Carrefour BIO products have been introduced in stores in all formats.
