Carrefour Poland was a partner of the 4th edition of the Warsaw Talks (Entretiens de Varsovie) - the biggest Polish-French Economic Forum organized on 15th June at the Royal Castle in Warsaw, by the French-Polish Chamber of commerce, in cooperation with the French Embassy in Poland. This yearly edition was dedicated to artificial intelligence as a growth potential for the European economy. The event was official inaugurated by Jean-François Fallacher, President of the French-Polish Chamber of commerce, Jérôme Chartier, Foundator of the “Entretiens de Royaumont” and Pierre Lévy, Ambassador of France in Poland. The Polish Prime Minister, Mateusz Morawiecki, closed the debates calling for a close cooperation between France and Poland on technological innovation development.

Carrefour Poland was once again a partner of the Warsaw Talks (Entretiens de Varsovie) – the biggest Polish-French Economic Forum, which took place on 15th June at the Royal Castle in Warsaw. The event, organized by the French-Polish Chamber of commerce, in cooperation with the French Embassy in Poland, gathered over 200 people: representatives of authorities, politics, business, media, science and NGOs from Poland and France. The Warsaw Talks, organized in Poland since 2013 are inspired by the conferences “Entretiens de Royaumont”, which are held for 15 years in the region of Paris with the participation of the greatest French thinkers, politicians and businessmen. The aim of this forum is to create a dialogue platform between thinkers and experts from Poland and France, in order to propose, based on their experiences, new ideas for Europe.

This yearly edition of the Warsaw Talks was organized under the title “The Era of Robotics, is a new revolution coming?” and was dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence in business. The official part of the event was opened by Jean-François Fallacher, President of the French-Polish Chamber of commerce, Jérôme Chartier, Foundator of the “Entretiens de Royaumont” and Pierre Lévy, Ambassador of France in Poland. Among the speakers, the event gathered personalities such as: Stéphane Richard, President of Orange Group, Marek Zagórski, Minister of Digitalisation and Luc Ferry, French philosopher and past Minister of Education. The debates were officially closed by Mateusz Morawiecki, the Polish Prime Minister, who called for a close business cooperation with France on innovation.

For this event and during an interview with the daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, Carrefour Poland had the opportunity to present its activities related to innovation development in commerce. Bożena Nawara-Borek, Director of e-commerce of Carrefour Poland, discussed the digital innovations developed in the commerce sector on the Polish market, especially e-grocery, m-commerce and MarketPlace. As part of its digital transformation strategy, Carrefour Poland constantly develops its range of digital and innovative services for clients, in order to ensure them the best shopping comfort. For this year, Carrefour plans to enrich its mobile application Mój Carrefour, reinforce the activities of the startup incubator C4 Retail Lab and to widen its e-commerce offer.
