Carrefour Poland became a partner of the 3rd National Nutrition Congress of the Nutrition and Diet Institute

Carrefour Poland was a partner of the 3rd National Nutrition Congress organized by the Nutrition and Diet Institute. This edition took place on 26th and 27th January and was entirely dedicated to diet and physical activity for seniors. Carrefour’s participation is part of the campaign “For the Love of Health” conducted since 2014.

The 3rd National Nutrition Congress is an event organized by the Nutrition and Diet Institute and is one of the most important scientific events related to healthy lifestyle. This edition was entirely dedicated to seniors. During two days of conferences, meetings with experts and debates, topics such as nutrition and health issues, which are often affecting seniors, have been discussed. Moreover, experts have also presented the importance of physical activity for the elderly. The Congress gathered during two days nearly 900 people, including representatives of the scientific community,  public administration, institutions dealing with food quality, students in life sciences and seniors.

On Carrefour's stand, visitors could discover the “Healthy Assortment” of products proposed in stores as well as products under the label “Jakość z Natury”. Carrefour Poland keeps enriching this assortment as part of the campaign “ For the Love of Health”.

Carrefour also presented the innovative Simplified Nutritional Labelling System-SENS which has been implemented on the Polish market. In January 2018, 30 new products were introduced with this label in stores. The chain launched a new communication campaign for promoting this system among clients and employees. It is also worth mentioning that clients could also find information about the system SENS in the Carrefour catalogue “ Health on the plate”. In addition, educative posters have been hanged in visible places in stores and an information is displayed on screens near checkouts.  The chain systematically informs about the launch of new products with the label SENS on its internet website, on the application Your Carrefour (Twój Carrefour) as well as on social media.

Furthermore, people over 60 could join, during the congress, the popular fidelity program Carrefour Senior Card which offers attractive discounts in stores. Carrefour's stand also presented the educative and research program “The ABC of Healthy Nutrition” as well as Carrefour’s support in major sporting events like the Tour de Pologne.
