Tomasz Mikołajec appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) and member of the Management Board at Carrefour Polska

As of April 1, 2025, Tomasz Mikołajec has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Carrefour Polska and is also serving as a Member of the Management Board. He succeeded Tomasz Waligórski, who had held this position since November 2024 in addition to his roles as President of the Management Board and General Director of the chain in Poland.
Tomasz Mikołajec brings 25 years of experience in retail and wholesale, accumulated in both the Polish and international markets, including the United States. He began his career in 2000 at Auchan Retail in Poland as a Retail Sales Manager. In 2002, he joined Lidl Polska as a District Manager and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2007. In 2014, he moved to Lidl Germany as the Sales Development and Operations Director, and a year later, he was appointed Regional Vice President, serving first in Ireland and then in the USA. In 2016, he spearheaded the opening of the first Lidl stores on the American continent. In 2022, he joined City Wide Facility Solutions in North Carolina as Vice President of Operations. Since 2024, Tomasz Mikołajec has served as Regional Director at Dollar Tree in the USA.
The new director reports directly to Tomasz Waligórski, the President of Carrefour Polska.
