Carrefour Poland, as a main partner of the Tour de Pologne since 2017, joined other initiatives related to cycling and became a benefactor of the Tour de Pologne mobile museum and of the cycling events cycle “Roadshow”. The museum was inaugurated on the first day of the Bike Expo Fair at the national stadium PGE and the ribbon was cut by the President of Carrefour Poland, Guillaume de Colonges, the General Director of the Tour de Pologne, Czesław Lang, as well as by representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, which is supporting the initiative as part of the 100th Anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s Independence. The opening of the museum was preceded by a press conference “90 years of the Tour de Pologne- The National Race of the Independence”, during which the President of Carrefour Poland, Guillaume de Colonges, underlined the support of the chain in the events organized for the 90th Anniversary of the Race and invited everyone to visit the Carrefour stores located on the Roadshow’s road.
Carrefour Poland, as an exhibitor on the Bike Expo Fair, presented its offer of mid-range and high-end bicycles that clients could buy on spot or on the internet shop Carrefour.pl. The chain also promoted its wide range of products from the “Healthy Assortment” and its sportswear collection TEX. Carrefour also proposed a degustation of the coffee Montmartre and of honey from the assortment Jakość z Natury, available only in its stores. Our stand attracted many visitors willing to discover Carrefour’s offer in the field of health and physical activity.
The interactive Tour de Pologne museum is a unique and mobile exhibition dedicated to the History of cycling in Poland. The exhibited objects from this sporting discipline do not only relate to important events from the Polish cycling history but also to the History of Poland, with among others: the silver medal of Czesław Lang from the Olympic games, an interactive air simulator, and other objects from the first cycling race organized in 1899 in the Kingdom of Poland, as well as artefacts related to the participation of Polish cyclists in the Battle of Warsaw in 1920. After its inauguration, the museum will be presented in 10 cities in Poland as an element of the Roadshow- cycling villages set up by Carrefour and Lang Team on the car parks of Carrefour hypermarkets. These events will not only be dedicated to cycling supporters but also to families, in order to promote an healthy lifestyle through education, leisure and sports.
