Carrefour Poland took actively part in the prestigious congress X Poland & CEE Retail Summit. During this event, the company was awarded for the third time the prize Retailer of the Year. On 13th March, the votes of FMCG suppliers allowed the company to win a prize for the best retail chains in the category: Multiformat chains-Large Formats. The prize was received by Robert Noceń, Secretary General.

The choice of the laureate was made by representatives of FMCG companies who participated in the survey organized by the company Nielsen. Representatives of nearly 200 enterprises gave their vote. Suppliers appreciated the activities of the company, the investments realized last year and the efficiency of the logistic network. Other criteria were also evaluated such as: image and promotion of the chain, cooperation for business development, cooperation with the chain’s team, commercial conditions and collaboration on the supply chain. The title “Retailer of the Year 2017” is particularly valuable because it was earned following a vote of suppliers, who are the most important business partners of the company. Carrefour Poland once again was very successful in this contest, which confirms the strategy adopted in cooperation with suppliers and is the result of great care for maintaining good relations.

Poland & CEE Retail Summit, organized by Blue Business Media, is the biggest and most influent event representing the commercial and agri-food sectors in Poland and in Central and Eastern Europe. During the congress, debates and presentations on the newest commercial trends are organized. Representatives of Carrefour Poland took also part in this prestigious event: Ronan Martin and Robert Noceń presented the omnichannel model of the company, Bożena Nawara-Borek introduced the e-commerce solutions and Marek Lipka talked about the future of convenience formats and premium supermarkets.
