Over 230 employees of Carrefour from all over Poland compose a new team called “Digitalents”, whose aim is to support other employees of Carrefour stores with the use of new digital solutions and e-commerce service developed by the chain.

In order to meet the expectations of consumers, Carrefour dynamically develops new technologies in commerce. The omnichannel strategy conducted by the chain helps to connect all the sales channels, both offline and online, and to implement digital innovations which offer clients a wider range of choices in terms of shopping methods. The aim of the program Digitalents is to support employees of Carrefour stores with the use of the newest digital solutions and e-commerce service launched by the company. This will in turn improve the efficiency of the client service and assistance. The role of the Digitalents is also to support communication between the stores and the departments of the headquarters.

During the internal recruitment process, employees who applied to the program, had to answer 3 questions regarding their role, skills, and use of mobile applications. Basing on their answers, 233 people have been selected (1 person in each store) and Carrefour organized for them trainings all over Poland. The meetings were also an occasion to confront different visions and ideas on the project with selected candidates. The participants of the trainings obtained a starting kit with dedicated brochures for trainers. The project will last until the end of the year 2018 and could be reconducted.

One of the main ambitions of Carrefour is to reinforce its position on the market as a leader of technological innovation and to identify new commercial trends thanks to the development of new solutions. The company already implemented many digital services such as: e-commerce, m-commerce available in the mobile application Mój Carrefour, Scan&Go, Sąsiatki, Click&Collect, and Carrefour Drive.
