Top Employer Certificate for Carrefour Poland

Carrefour Poland was awarded with the Top Employer certificate. The company was distinguished for its good practices in the field of management and HR. The certificate was delivered following an independent audit. In Poland, only 43 companies have been awarded until now with this prize. Whereas in the beginning of February, the 8th edition of the HR Directors Summit, the biggest conference about human capital in Warsaw, took place. Carrefour was represented by Justyna Orzeł, Director of Human Resources.

On 9th February, the Top Employers Institute published the results of the Top Employer researches. Carrefour Poland, for the first time, was awarded with the Top Employer certificate. The Top Employers Institute values best employers’ HR policies, according to the best practices existing on the market from 1991. Each year, the Institute shares its evaluation and delivers certifications in the following fields: working conditions and benefits, training and development, professional career development and management with an organizational culture. All the certified companies have to go through a detailed research and verification process of an independent audit. The Top Employer’s award confirms the company’s place among top employers in Poland. The certification process was a great occasion to analyse human capital strategy from the best market practices’ perspective. Carrefour, for 20 years of presence on the Polish employers’ market, created a stable working place for nearly 16 000 employees. The HR team and managers are continuously working on the company’s HR strategy which is based on employees’ engagement and good customer experiences in all our stores.

This year’s HR Directors Summit was also a good opportunity to present Carrefour’s achievements in the field of HR. Justyna Orzeł, with a presentation untitled “Doubt and agility: how to give decisions in the good hands” tried to answer the following question: How to support business strategy based on many formats and clients’ expectations’ diversity?. Justyna Orzeł presented how the “Napoleon’s Pillars”: Quality, Health, Choice, Proximity and Low Prices, are translated into the daily activities of our stores. Another topic covered by this presentation was the changes implemented by Carrefour over the past 3 years, and the direction that the company follows for shaping its HR policy, among others, through ComEx shadow, a new formula of cooperation and coaching for the management of the company with the Millennial Generation. The presentations included in the program of the 8th edition of the HR Directors Summit were proposed around three main topics: Engagement, Creative changes and daily Challenges.
