On 6th December, during a conference at the Ministry of Development untitled “ SDG 17: Partnership for the realisation of the sustainable development goals”, Carrefour Poland joined this important initiative. During the meeting, a published guide for companies “SDGs in practice”, for which Carrefour was a business partner, was also presented to the audience.

Carrefour Poland, as a socially responsible company, had already implemented numerous projects as part of the realisation of the SDGS, so it was natural for the network to join the partnership for the realisation of the sustainable development goals. Alongside Carrefour, representatives of the financial, energy, construction and waste industries joined the partnership, together with NGOs supporting the business environment.

The partnership’s card was signed, in the name of the company, by Robert Noceń, General Secretary of Carrefour Poland. At the meeting. Carrefour presented two of its projects undertaken within the context of the realisation of the SGS: the innovative system SENS (Simplified Nutritional Labelling System), which enables clients to make responsible decisions while buying, and the program “Stop waste”, whose objective is to fight against daily waste at each level of the company. The initiatives correspond to the realisation of the SDGS: 3-“Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages” and 12-“Responsible consumption and production”.

During the conference, a guide for companies “SDGs in practice”, in which Carrefour presented its system SENS, was also presented to the audience. The network is a business partner for this publication.
