The initiatives developed by Carrefour Poland in the field of sustainable development have been once again awarded by experts. The company won the White CSR Leaf from the weekly newspaper Polityka and was a laureate of the contest “Well-Perceived Company” organized by the Business Centre Club.

“The Polityka CSR Leaves” is a prestigious prize that distinguishes companies’ CSR activities. The sixth edition of the vote was organized by the weekly newspaper Polityka, in cooperation with Deloitte and the Forum of Responsible Companies.

The organizers awarded Carrefour Poland a White Leaf for its comprehensive social commitment. The nomination for the “Polityka CSR Leaves” follows a survey in which representatives of the biggest Polish companies presented their activities in the field of corporate social responsibility.
A record of 115 organizations participated in this yearly survey and 66 of them were awarded. The CSR activities have been evaluated on the basis of criteria taking into account the international norm ISO 26000.

Carrefour was a laureate of the contest “Well-Perceived Company” organized by the Business Centre Club in Warsaw. The contest “Well-Perceived Company” is an initiative that aims to promote the companies which are effectively conducting a social responsibility policy. In addition, organizers pay attention to the popularization of the idea of CSR and to efficient methods of communication developed by organizations conducting social activities. The contest has been created following the project “CSR- a tool to build the positive image of the company” which was organized from 2009 to 2011.

Carrefour Poland conducts a lot of projects in the field of CSR, with a focus on fighting any type of waste, protecting biodiversity and supporting business partners. The chain also developed comprehensive initiatives in the field of food transition and healthy lifestyle promotion, especially with the campaign “For the Love of Health”, conducted since 2014. Its aim is to raise awareness about nutrition, encourage Polish people to practice a physical activity, and popularize a healthy lifestyle among employees, clients and business partners. The research and educational program “ABC of Healthy Nutrition”, financed with a grant of the Carrefour Foundation, is also part of this campaign.
