Carrefour supported once again the Gdansk Marathon

Carrefour for the second time was a partner of the Gdansk Marathon whose 4th edition took place on 14th and 15th April. Nearly 3 000 runners took part in the 42-km run. It was the next big sporting event that Carrefour supported as part of its campaign “For the love of Health”.
This year Carrefour Poland still cooperates with the organizers of the Gdansk Marathon. Participants from 14 countries gathered on the starting line. The unique and pleasant running route was passing through the most characteristic and attractive spots on the map of Gdansk. During this two-day event, other connected runs were organized: „Gdansk on 5” on a 5-km distance and Runs for children.
Carrefour runners also took part in the runs. Employees from the Carrefour Morena Hypermarket in Gdansk as well as from the Supermarket in Sopot competed on a 5-km distance.
By supporting runs, Carrefour encourages its clients as well as all Polish people to practice a physical activity. The company does not only focus on the promotion of sports, but also on health education, thanks to which clients of the chain can learn more about how to maintain a balanced diet and take care of their well-being on a daily basis.
