C4 Retail Lab is the first technological incubator in Poland founded by a retail chain. The aim of the incubator is to support the development of Polish entrepreneurship and to implement innovations relevant for the commercial sector. In order to reach this goal, and to build the brand C4 Retail Lab on the Polish market, Carrefour launched a cycle of inspirational meetings with experts who are sharing their knowledge and views on new technological and innovative trends. The first meeting organized under the title “Challenges in e-commerce” gathered over 40 professionals, representatives of startups as well as of commercial companies, and people related to the community of startups in Poland.
The meeting was opened by Katarzyna Orlińska, Digital Director at Carrefour Poland, who is responsible for the management of C4 Retail Lab. Bożena Nawara Borek, E-commerce Director, then shared her knowledge about e-commerce from the point of view of big commercial chains, underlining how to compete with big players known as pure players. Michał Burda, from the e-commerce agency Estruktorzy, presented the current trends in e-commerce, and Marta Komar from furgonetka.pl, highlighted the challenges of e-commerce in terms of logistics. This meeting was not only an occasion for exchanging knowledge with representatives of other institutions working on the development of the commercial market in Poland, but was also an opportunity to promote the newest initiatives of the incubator C4 Retail Lab, as well as key elements of the digital transformation of Carrefour Poland.
